CONTRARIAN BENEFACTOR | MESSAGE AMPLIFIER | RUCKUS MAKER

Jeff Ganger

The things to do are:
the things that need doing: that you see need to be done, and that no one else seems to see need to be done. Then you will conceive your own way of doing that which needs to be done – that no one else has told you to do or how to do it. This will bring out the real you that often gets buried inside a character that has acquired a superficial array of behaviors induced or imposed by others on the individual…

You have what is most important—initiative.
You will find the world responding to your earnest initiative.

—Buckminster Fuller

I am:

An unlikely yet curiously effective marketing executive with 20 years of experience in creative design, marketing, entrepreneurship and business development.

An expert generalist with a passion for accuracy. Certified contrarian.

A Student of Ben Franklin, Warren Buffet, Charlie Munger, Socrates, and Seth Godin.

I have:

  • Helped a small business scale from $600,000 to $5M in revenue, with a successful exit of ~$25M
  • Increased e-commerce sales over 450% for a legendary family-owned retail grocery business while preparing them for a successful exit (~$6M)
  • Helped the University of Notre Dame increase enrollment (College of Arts and Letters)
  • Been a sherpa for entrepreneurs, providing assistance by asking the right questions at the right time
  • Been involved in 4 startups
  • Won some design awards
  • Launched a small, focused pottery business that led to several exhibition opportunities in Milwaukee
  • Taken a year off to create and complete my personal MBA
  • Helped design the identity of two museums, both based in Palo Alto
  • Built scalable programs for an innovative non-profit that is revolutionizing education for autistic youth
  • Built DeBartolo Hall at Notre Dame as part of a construction crew. Years later I was accepted into their Executive MBA Program.
  • Been forty and broke
  • Been fifty and not broke
  • Built a program that empowers people to design their careers, connect with their tribe, and do work with meaning and purpose. By spending the first half of my career struggling and unemployed, I was able to spend the second half sharing all of the stuff I learned once I found success.

Also: I notice things, design solutions, solve problems, write, make things, and mentor people.
